ABOUT LUCY & EVENT CATERING EXPERIENCES.
Lucy was born and raised in Adelaide, Australia – a city well known for its incredible ethnic culinary diversity and market culture. This has most certainly contributed to her adventurous style in the kitchen today. The wide variety of fresh produce available and most importantly her parent’s extensive backyard fruit and vegetable patch, was where Lucy’s love of fresh, good food began!
Overseas travels led Lucy to the Scottish Borders in 2000 where she met, and later married, farmer Robert. They farm Cowbog near Kelso, with their well-known Hereford herd, an assortment of other animals, two children and a very large Kitchen Garden! They also run their farm diversification, Wilson’s Farm and Kitchen.
Lucy is Head Chef and Creative Director of Wilson’s Farm and Kitchen, which specialises in Field to Fork farm tours and unique dining experiences, showcasing the very best ingredients from the farm and garden, and other fantastic Scottish Borders produce. At Wilson’s Farm and Kitchen, Lucy is committed to high provenance food events for lovers of good food!
Lucy undertakes some private work including Dinner Parties, Field Sport Lunches and Dinners. She has become particularly well known for her popular Curry Nights and Takeaways which started during the Covid-19 pandemic. Lucy along with the Wilson Farm & Kitchen team also cater for drinks receptions as well as weddings and parties with their portable charcoal grill BBQ.
SOURCING FROM LOCAL PRODUCERS.
It is certainly not difficult to source quality ingredients in the Scottish Borders! The region has a steadily increasing community of exceptional Artisan Producers in addition to world class beef, lamb, seafood, cheese, bread, and soft fruits. This is complemented by the large kitchen garden and polytunnel on the farm where an abundance of homegrown and seasonal fruit, salad and vegetables are available most of the year.
Unsurprisingly, Lucy sources meat very judiciously, using British meat without exception. Beef and lamb will generally come from Cowbog and if this is not possible, Lucy will source it from other local farms that share the same commitment to high welfare, grass-based farming. All seafood comes fresh from Eyemouth.



THE STABLES.
The Stables were built at the beginning of the 20th century for a previous owner’s racehorses. They have been converted into a unique venue that can seat approximately 30 people and include washrooms whilst still retaining their historic fittings and features. Great fun for small, private events such as wedding breakfasts, special birthday celebrations and anniversary lunches. Up to 60 people can be accommodated if standing room only is required.


WILSON’S FARM & KITCHEN.
Wilson’s Farm and Kitchen specialises in Field to Fork farm tours and various dining experiences which showcase the very best of home-grown and local ingredients. Guests can book private tours or join in on set-date events. WFK also offers Breakfast Safaris, Tractor and Trailer farm tours and their unique Wee Tin Bothies are available for hire. Perfect for people who are interested in the provenance of their food and unique dining events.

POLITE NOTICE
I am very grateful for the ongoing support of my clients, but due to becoming increasingly busy catering weddings, parties and events at Wilson’s Farm & Kitchen, I am not available just now to private chef for small gatherings, or to do holiday cottage meal deliveries. I am lucky to be fully booked for the 2024 summer season and quickly filling up over winter and well into 2025, so plenty of notice is advised.
